We have been in Morelia, the state capital of Michoacan, for about a month now. Since Joyce and I visited in June, it only took only a few days to find an apartment in an area that we liked. (Joyce, Jade, and Marley are sitting in the courtyard of our apartment building.)
There is a huge mercado two blocks from our apartment where we can buy fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers, dry goods, and odds-and-ins for the kichen. Jade's preschools is a short 10 minute walk, and the school where Joyce is taking Spanish classes is only 5 minutes away.
We are also blocks away from some famous landmarks in Morelia: the Aqueduct, the statue "Las Tarascas", and the carless Calzada Fray Antonio. I must say, it's quite nice to walk past these Morelian landmarks everyday.
